: Micromussa Amakusensis, commonly referred to as Micros, are very easy to keep in captivity and are extremely popular in the aquarium hobby. They should be placed in the lower part of the aquarium or at the bottom and should receive low to moderate flow. Of course, you should always maintain proper water parameters by maintaining good calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity levels.
Micros have much smaller polyps than Lords and can grow quite quickly, so, be sure to give them space away from other corals. Hobbyists often pick out several different color varieties of Lords and Micros and place them near each other in the same area of the tank, creating what is known as a "Garden".
Micros can grow mainly on photosynthesis but will grow faster and gain robust colors when target fed with phytoplankton and zooplankton, LPS pellets, and mysis shrimp.
