Torch corals are arguably one of the most popular corals in the hobby today. They prefer low to moderate lighting and water flow and should be placed somewhere in the middle of the tank.
Be careful when placing them though because they have very long tentacles that contain stinging cells and can attack neighboring corals, causing damage, and in severe cases, kill other corals.
There are many different types of color variants and combinations available, and some can be quite expensive, reaching upwards of $1,000+ for certain types like the Holy Grail variants.
Torches are mainly photosynthetic, relying on the products of their zooxanthellae, but they should also be fed phytoplankton and zooplankton as well as other products like Coral Feast, Reef Energy, and LPS pellets.
