Sinularia corals, more commonly referred to as Finger Leathers, are known to grow long branching stalks out from their large base. However, there are some species of Sinularia, such as the Cabbage Leather, that do not take on this branching form.
It is an extremely easy coral to care for, requiring low to moderate light and moderate to strong flow. These corals are generally placed somewhere in the middle of the tank, but, caution should be used when placing due to the fact that they grow so large and anything beneath them will receive very little light.
There are so many different species available, but one of our favorites is the Kryptonite Cabbage Leather. It is neon green, contains a lot of fluorescence, and really "glows" in the aquarium.
Sinularia corals are mainly photosynthetic, relying on the products of their zooxanthellae, but, you can feed them phytoplankton and zooplankton, as well as other products like Coral Feast and Reef Energy or other amino acids and probiotics. if you desire.
