For infections of: Fin and Tail Rot, Popeye, Gill Disease, Dropsy (swollen body, protruding scales), Septicemia (bleeding or red streaks on body), secondary and internal infections.

Maracyn Two powder is a broad-spectrum antibiotic (minocycline) developed for use in aquariums. Due to its unique properties, it is absorbed by the fish through the skin. During the prescribed treatment, the concentration of minocycline in the fish fluids rises to a therapeutic level and is available to fight systemic infections susceptible to its action. It is primarily effective against gram-negative pathogenic organisms. Internal diseases are more difficult to detect than external ones and early detection is almost impossible. Symptoms of clamped fins, general listlessness, not eating or other unusual behavior can be caused by internal infections. All suspected bacterial infections should be treated immediately.

Maracyn Two is non-toxic to invertebrates.

Active Ingredient: Each packet contains 10 mg minocycline.

General Information
For the treatment and control of septicemia, bacterial fin and tail rot and cotton wool disease in freshwater - tetras, livebearers, catfish and goldfish and saltwater - angelfish, clownfish, damsels and other common species caused by Aeromonus punctata, Aeromonus hydrophila and Flavobacterium columnare bacteria.

Indications
Use of a hospital tank is recommended. No water changes, pH, or temperature adjustments necessary if readings are in ideal range (Temperature 68 degrees to 86 degrees, freshwater pH 6.4 to 7.6, saltwater pH 8.0 to 8.4). Maintain normal filtration and air.

Instructions
First day add the contents of two packets per 10 gallons of water. Second through fifth day add one packet per 10 gallons of water. Repeat this five day treatment once if needed. Important: Treat for five days even if visible signs disappear. May be used concurrently with Coppersafe, Maracide, Maracyn, or Maracyn Oxy. Refer to enclosed fish disease chart for proper combination use. Maracyn Two will not harm invertebrates. Maracyn Two may cause excessive foam production in protein skimmers, stop use of skimmer during treatment if excessive foaming is a concern.
