Leptastrea is an encrusting coral that is very easy to keep. It prefers low to moderate light and moderate flow, making it a coral that should be kept down low in your tank.
It can look very similar to cyphastrea but has polyps that are much closer together. There are several different color variants of this coral and some of the most popular ones have bright oranges, yellows, blues, and greens.
Leptastrea are mainly photosynthetic, relying on the products of their zooxanthellae, but, they should also be fed phytoplankton and zooplankton, as well as other products like Coral Feast and Reef Energy. Of course, you should always maintain proper water parameters by maintaining good calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity levels.
