Long Description: Anacropora are in the Acropora family, but, are much easier to keep than typical Acros and don’t require quite as much light. They develop thin branches and have growth tips that do not have polyps, unlike your typical Acro.
Anacropora can grow fast in the right environment and under the right conditions. It should be placed in the middle to higher part of the aquarium where they will receive moderate to high flow.
Although they grow mainly on photosynthesis, they love broadcast feedings of phytoplankton and zooplankton, and will benefit from supplemental feedings of products like Coral Feast, Reef Energy, and Amino Acids. Of course, you should always maintain proper water parameters by maintaining good calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity levels.
